Under Ontario's Municipal Elections Act, 1996, only individuals who are Canadian citizens and at least 18 years of age may contribute to a municipal election campaign if they normally reside in Ontario. Contributions from corporations, trade unions, and anonymous donors are not permitted.

No. Municipal campaign contributions in Aurora are not tax-deductible under Ontario law. Contributions cannot be claimed as a charitable donation or tax credit on your income tax return.

Donations help cover essential campaign expenses such as printing signs and flyers, campaign literature, community outreach, website and digital communications, advertising, volunteer resources, and other costs permitted under Ontario's Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Yes. We may accept eligible in-kind contributions in accordance with Ontario's Municipal Elections Act, 1996. In-kind contributions include donated goods or professional services that support the campaign, such as printing, photography, graphic design, or event supplies. All in-kind contributions must comply with Ontario election laws, come from eligible individual contributors, and be recorded at their fair market value as required by law. If you would like to discuss making an in-kind contribution, please contact our campaign before providing any goods or services.

No. Campaign contributions cannot be made in honour or in memory of another person. Under Ontario's Municipal Elections Act, 1996, all contributions must be made by the individual contributor using their own funds and are recorded in that contributor's name. We sincerely appreciate your support and understanding.

Yes. Every eligible campaign contribution will receive an official contribution receipt in accordance with Ontario election regulations.
